5 Days with 10 Ways to Better Self Care Course

The last 18 months has been an unprecedented time for all of us, we were thrown a massive curve ball and had to adapt our personal, family and work lives. I think most of us can agree we were just in survival mode! Well it is time now to get back into thrive mode. I have teamed up with some experts and we have put together a course 10 ways in 5 days to better Self Care.

When you hear the phrase – Healthy living your mind associates the meaning that your physical and mental health are balanced or functioning harmoniously. Both physical and psychological health are closely linked, and a change in either directly affects the other.

Did you know that being physically active or exercising are critical players in living a healthy lifestyle; our bodies need to be active and require daily exercise! Living an unhealthy lifestyle can manifest as obesity, weakness, lack of endurance which may foster disease development.

Our 5 Days with 10 Ways to Better Self-Care weekly course schedule will look like this.

Monday: Welcome video

Introduction to Gratitude, Affirmations, and thoughts with Journaling:
If you are not familiar with either of these techniques, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide to become a pro at it. Once you have established a habit of these principles, the rest will be smooth sailing.

Tuesday: Diet & Nutrition

We will explain what a balanced diet is and what supplies and nutrients your body needs to function optimally. An unbalanced diet makes a body more prone to disease, infection, fatigue, and low performance.

Wednesday: Exercise

Fitness and physical health is a topic many have a wrong idea of what fitness means. We will cover the following topics about fitness:
What is fitness?
How to set goals and manage them
Why is fitness is important
What fitness or types of exercises you can try out
Finding what works for you
What are the benefits of fitness, etc

Thursday: Sleep Patterns and Meditation

Sleep is an essential part of your daily functioning research suggests and recommends at least 7-9 hours of sleep for adults. When you sleep your brain stores new information and gets rid of toxic waste. Nerve cells communicate and reorganize, which supports healthy brain function. The body repairs cells and restores energy. Meditation is also an important part of self care, it reduces stress and has you more focused.

Friday: Emotional Wellbeing, Communicating your needs and Planning (Work & Home)

What is and what it means to have a balanced lifestyle that works for you everything flowing harmoniously in your life that does not cause strain on your mental, emotional and psychological well-being.

How to prioritize yourself
Learning how to say NO!
How to communicate effectively
Planning your day and week
Learn how to deal and manage the curveballs life throws your way.

Remember, you are the most prized – tool in your arsenal; if you do not take care of yourself first, you will burn out and be of no value to anyone. Prioritizing your needs once in a while is never selfish. You are doing right by yourself; if any of this sits well with you and you are ready to take the first step in prioritizing yourself and your needs above all.
